Lecturing Method and Video Learning Media Effectively Increases Knowledge and Motivation on Health Education

The selection of health education media should be based on target tastes, broad impact, and presented in an attractive manner. Health Education Breast Self-Examination (BSE) is generally still carried out using the conventional method, namely face-to-face (FF). This study aimed to determine effect BSE Lecture Plus Animation Video Demonstration (VBL) knowledge motivation Vocational High School students. There were 80 respondents who divided into 2 groups, 40 students control group with provided direct FF, rest VBL. level obtained through a questionnaire then Wilcoxon signed-rank test was conducted intervention each group, while Mann-Whitney find which had better after receiving intervention. results showed that both treatment groups p = 0.000 for variables. Meanwhile, variable p-value 0.004 mean rank 36.00 45.00 group. In motivational variable, value 0.003, 46.13 meant FF methods or VBL could increase students' motivation, but greater influence increasing respondents' doing BSE.
